Fernando de Bulloes y Taveira de Azevedo naci\u00f3 en Lisboa, Portugal, en 1195; a los 15 a\u00f1os ingres\u00f3 a los Can\u00f3nigos Regulares de San Agust\u00edn, pero diez a\u00f1os despu\u00e9s ingres\u00f3 a los Frailes Menores Franciscanos donde a los 25 a\u00f1os adopt\u00f3 el nombre de Antonio.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ten\u00eda voz clara y fuerte, memoria prodigiosa y un profundo conocimiento, el esp\u00edritu de profec\u00eda y un extraordinario don de milagros. Su fama de obrar actos prodigiosos nunca ha disminuido y a\u00fan en la actualidad es reconocido como el m\u00e1s grande taumaturgo de todos los tiempos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El Papa Gregorio IX lo canoniz\u00f3 menos de un a\u00f1o despu\u00e9s de su muerte en Pentecost\u00e9s el 30 de Mayo de 1232.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
